![]() Reset the ATT modem to factory settings and exact same issue! The wire speed at my router is exactly 1/2 of what crappy speed my modem is showing on wire! I have two Dell Latitudes with the exact same build one connected to the modem hard wire and the other connected to the router hard wire. I had a netgear nighthawk R-8000 and recently replaced with TP-Link AC5400. What is really odd is that when I connect my router to the modem, it cuts my speed at the router by 50% everytime! I have spend hundreds of dollars trying to figure this out. Anywhere between 80mbps on download to 300mbps. Furthermore, the bandwidth varies significantly throughout the day. Most of the time, they rely on the ATT test which I honestly think is dishonest. Several techs have come out and can't figure it out. Mind you, all the testing I have done is via hard wire connection to the ATT modem. Getting half of whatever I am getting hard wire form the modem once I connect to the router hard wire. Yes, I do get spikes of upto 800mbps at odd times in the day.Ģ. Getting 1/4 of the speed I am paying for hard wired to the Modem. Significant (upto 700mbps discrepancy) between OOKLA and ATT speed test!Ģ. Running the OOKLA speedtest back to back I would be lucky if I get 300mpbs.ġ. In fact, the only time I see anything close to 800mbps is using the ATT Internet Speed Test. Never have I gotten speeds of over 800Mbps. I have had the ATT 1000Mbps connection for over a year now. ![]() ![]() Posting on this forum for the first time.
